When you return, another simple message to the home can get it all powered up to a comfortable temperature, and even turn the porch light on.

What is unique about the Insite solution, is that you do all this from your cellphone. What's more, the cost of having these controls is only the cost of an SMS message ( $9.95/month unlimited messages in USA).

Similar devices on the market employing Internet service, are either limited to being controlled from another internet device or, require an Internet monthly connection fee, PLUS a data plan for your cellphone to run a browser. This can add up to $100 or more per month. You then also need 24/7 operation of your home computer, and a high level of competence in order to implement the system.
